Bracketing

shutter 1/200     f4     iso 125      5:30pm

This picture was taken at a High School football game. It could have been improved by shooting from a different angle. Moving to the left to get more of the side of the referee who is standing and including the other tow who are sitting. the composition would have been better. This was at the end of their break and they were getting ready to go back to work so I was more interested in getting the shot than in tweaking the composition.

This picture was taken about 2 hours after the previous one.  It is interesting the change of color that 2 hours make. I don't think I would change this at all...personal preference here.

As I was leaving the football game I saw this thermometer in a flower  pot hanging from a tree outside one of the classrooms.  To make it better I could have used a silver reflector to pick up some of the ambient light from the security lights. I didn't have any reflector material with me. My camera meter read this as properly exposed. Evidently it was reading the light from the thermometer and didn't pick up on the flower pot.

  1. The only thought I have on these photos is that you should have named the first set "A meeting of the minds", that's what I name all my referee shots...

  2. I agree the second set of images is much more visually pleasing because of the change lighting. I also think the coloring in your neutral exposure makes that image almost perfect the way that it is.
